Many tools in Inertia allow you to customize your view for ease of use. This includes the IR Main List, RFI List, WAN List, and more. Tools with a list view (such as the IR Main List) typically have all columns activated by default. Constrain your view to only show relevant columns to make each tool easier to use. *If you are working in multiple Inertia projects, your column settings will be unique to each project.
Hide or show columns
Previous versions of Inertia used a button called "Manage Columns". We have moved away from this button and allow you to manage your columns directly from the list header.
1. In the top header of a list, hover over any column header. In the example below, this is "Code". A dropdown arrow will appear, click this to see all columns.
2. From the list of columns, uncheck the checkbox Hide to hide an active column, or select the checkbox Show to show a column which was previously hidden.
Rearrange columns
It can also be helpful to set your columns in a specific order. To do this, select the column header, and simply drag and drop the column into it's desired location.
Sort column data
Sort your lists using the column headers.
1. Select the dropdown arrow on a specific header.
2. Select Sort Ascending or Sort Descending.
Group list by column headers
You can also customize your view by grouping information by a specific column header, such as status.
1. Select the dropdown arrow on a specific header.
2. Select Group by this field. Items in the list will be resorted and grouped by the column selected.
3. Optional: Select Show in groups to display the information grouped by selected column. This is great for viewing all records of a specific status, Common IR type, etc.
