Business Hours

Business hours dictate the time range an IR can be scheduled, e.g. 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

CC List

A list of people that will be notified when something occurs. For example, if the status of an RFI changes, all users on the CC list for that RFI will be notified by email.

Change order 

Work that is added to or deleted from the original scope of work of a contract, which alters the original contract amount and/or completion date.

Common IR

Inertia uses over 1500 predefined "Common" Inspection Request types to help categorize and differentiate each inspection. Each Common IR type uses a 4 digit code, where the 2 digit prefix indicates the specific trade. For example, the prefix 22 is for Plumbing, and IR type 2201 is used for "Plumbing - Support: Gravity".

Cutoff Time

The cutoff time is the time of day used to evaluate if the user transaction will be considered as current business day, or next business day.

Punch List

A document prepared near the end of a construction project listing work not conforming to contract specifications that the general contractor must complete prior to final payment.

Request for Information (RFI)

An RFI is a request for information that is used in construction to clarify any uncertainties or to fill in any gaps in information that may be found in any specifications, plans, contracts, or other documents.

Requested Schedule Date (RSD)

The date and time defined by the record author (usually the sub-contractor) for when they are requesting the inspector show up. This date/time usual indicates the work is complete and ready for inspection.

The time period required between the time when the IR is submitted and the date/time that the inspector is requested to visit the site.
