What is Entity Status tracking?
Entity Status Tracking allows users to know exactly how the project is progressing at every stage of the build. With just a few clicks, you can see the status of objects or activities, on our Intelligent Construction Drawings with corresponding colors.
The Inertia Integration offers two prebuilt status types- Room Readiness, and Procurement. If you'd like to configure a custom location status list, please contact Support at procore@inertiasystems.com. In the example below, we'll be using the Room Readiness status type.
How to add Entity Status to a single location
1. Using the Select tool, select a location from the map. Selected locations are highlighted in orange.
2. In the bottom right corner, select Add, then Add Entity Status.
3. Select the Status Type (A) and Status Value (B).
4. Select Add to save.
5. Once you have successfully added the status, you will see it displayed at the top of the Location Report panel, on the righthand side.
Updating Entity Status for a single location
1. To update the Entity Status for a single object, select the object from the map.
2. In the righthand Location Report panel, there is a section at the top for Entity Status.
3. Locate the Status Type you would like to update. In this example, we'll update the Room Readiness status type.
4. Select the dropdown, and select the new status type. The new status will save automatically, and if the object exists on other maps, it will update on those maps as well.
How to add Entity Status to multiple locations
1. Using a multiple select tool, such as the Add to Selection tool, select the locations on your map.
2. The number of locations you have selected will be displayed at the top of the location report. In the bottom right corner, select Add, then Add Entity Status.
3. Select the Status Type (A) and Status Value (B).
4. Select Add to save.
5. Once you have successfully added the status, you will see it displayed at the top of the Location Report panel, on the righthand side. In the attached image, you will see the number of locations we have selected (C). The status itself (D) shows how many of the selected locations share that same status. In this example, all 5 of the locations we selected share the same status of "Framing".
How to report on Entity Status
1. To report on Entity Status, open the map you would like to report on.
2. In the upper right corner of the map, select the Report button.
3. From the Report selector, select Entity Status (A).
4. Select the Status Type (B).
Optional - If you would like to only report on locations with a specific Status Value, select it here (C). If you would like to see the status of all locations on the map, leave this field empty.
5. Select Run Report (D). The map will now populate with the current Entity Status of each location. Click on a location to learn more, view its properties, or to update its Entity Status.
6. To Stop Reporting, select the Report button in the upper right.
7. Select the Stop Reporting button in the lower left, and close the report selector.
Entity Status history
Each time a status is set or updated for a location, Inertia logs this event under the History section of the Location Report. Select a location, and History.
